Does Instagram require exactly 1080×1080?

Feed posts accept several aspect ratios; square is still widely used for carousels and profile grids. Adjust crop in the editor if you need 4:5 or 16:9.

AVIF → JPEG bridge — when supported, try canvas→AVIF→JPEG per page and keep the smaller JPEG (AVIF still isn’t stored inside the PDF). Retry stronger if needed — if the first pass isn’t smaller, run one stronger pass (lower width + JPEG quality).
